Tracy Rector is an Emmy award-winning artist passionate in amplifying and uplifting Indigenous and other BIPOC creatives. She has two decades of experience as a community organizer, educator, filmmaker, film programmer, and arts curator, all infused with her deep roots in plant medicine. Tracy has directed and produced over 400 films including shorts, features, music videos, and virtual reality projects. Her work has been featured with Independent Lens, imagineNATIVE, Sundance, Cannes, and Toronto. Tracy sits on the boards of Working Films and Multitude Films. She is also the founder of 4th World Media Lab – now in its tenth cohort season.

Over the past 25 years, she has delivered hundreds of projects for film, television, and streaming platforms. She is most inspired when working with creative teams committed to justice, liberation, and care for the Earth.

With ancestral roots in the Plains and the South, and an academic background in physics and languages, Chris weaves abstract and creative approaches into their work. As an educator and experiential facilitator,
Chris (he/him/they/them) is a Colorado-born Black creative and educator now living on Suquamish and Duwamish lands in Washington. With ancestral roots in the Plains and the South, and an academic background in physics and languages, Chris weaves abstract and creative approaches into their work. As an educator and experiential facilitator, they uplift Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color by centering identity, belonging, and storytelling to dismantle systems of white supremacy. Chris co-founded a teaching staff committee and BIPOC student affinity group and is active in the cycling community, fostering intersectional environmentalism and collective care for land, water, and humanity.

He managed print traffic for the Emmy- and IDA award-nominated series Reciprocity Project, which screened at festivals around the world and on PBS. As director of photography, Jonah worked on the award-winning documentary Reflecting on Anti-Bias Education in Action and its 2024 follow-up feature on anti-bias parenting. He has served on the screening committee for Translations: Seattle Transgender Film Festival and collaborated with numerous film festivals during his time at Northwest Film Forum, where he led education and artist services programs.
The 4th World Media Lab is a year-long fellowship for emerging and mid-career Indigenous filmmakers, providing opportunities to develop filmmaking skills and networks through festival participation, hands-on training, masterclasses, workshopping projects in development, pitch activities, and meetings with funders and other industry decision-makers.
